Almost 160,000 State Health Plan members have already taken action and selected their benefits for 2018! Why? Because, it's simple and easier than ever before, taking you only around 10 clicks to complete your enrollment.

If you have not taken action, time is running out! Open Enrollment ends October 31, 2017, and members who do not act risk paying higher-than-necessary premiums in 2018. As the end of Open Enrollment draws closer, call wait times will be higher, so if you need assistance, please take advantage of the Eligibility and Enrollment Support Center's extended hours during Open Enrollment (855-859-0966): Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. ET, or Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon ET.

Important reminders:

Active Members:

All members will be automatically enrolled in the 70/30 Plan but YOU MUST TAKE ACTION to reduce your premium.  If you prefer the 80/20 Plan, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION! If you want to reduce your monthly premium on either plan, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION by completing the tobacco attestation! If you fail to take action during Open Enrollment, your monthly premiums will be considerably higher in 2018!

Non-Medicare Members:

All members will be automatically enrolled in the 70/30 Plan, which will remain premium free for retiree-only coverage. If you prefer the 80/20 Plan, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION! If you want to reduce your monthly premium in the 80/20 Plan, YOU MUST TAKE ACTION by completing the tobacco attestation! If you fail to take action during Open Enrollment, you and any eligible dependents will be enrolled in the 70/30 Plan for 2018.

For active members the 70/30 and 80/20 plans offer the opportunity to reduce your monthly premium by $60 each month by completing the tobacco attestation. For Non-Medicare members in the Retirement Systems, the 80/20 Plan offers the opportunity to reduce your monthly premium by $60.  The tobacco attestation is attesting to being tobacco-free or committing to enroll in the QuitlineNC multiple-call program by the end of Open Enrollment.
